Limestone Pavers from Confucius' Birthplace

Rusty Manchu Caviar Limestone

Our distinctive Rusty Manchu Caviar Limestone provides a fantastic feature element in landscapes and interiors, as seen in these photos of the Queen Anne garden.

The breathtaking beauty of this stone - from the region where Chinese philosopher Confucius was born - need not put it beyond your budget.

The distinctive stone can be ordered from Yellow Mountain StoneWorks as 7"x9"x2" Roman Cobble pavers with a honed or lychee finish in container lots of 1,400 SF.

The Honed (80) finish creates an undulating, silky patina. For a more rustic look, choose the Lychee finish.

Rusty Manchu Caviar Limestone gets its name from the matrix of the stone itself, which resembles tiny caviar eggs. This limestone is used copiously at Confucius’ temple, family compound, and cemetery in Qufu (for photos, see Wikipedia).

In addition to supplying Rusty Manchu Caviar Limestone as Roman Cobble pavers, we can custom-size the stone to any paving or veneer pattern. YMSW currently offers this product in Polished, Antiqued, Honed, Lychee, Adze or Pineapple finishes, with beveled or bullnosed edges per client specification. Available patterns include ashlar, random ashlar and coursed ashlar. [See all Finishes]
